iFixit recently visited Huaqiangbei in Shenzhen, China, to examine counterfeit versions of popular Apple products: the Apple Watch Ultra 3, AirPods Max 2, and AirPods Pro 3. Their teardown revealed that while the fake Apple Watch Ultra 3 appears similar on the outside, it has a 260 mAh battery that is loosely fitted and lacks the quality of the genuine product. The fake AirPods Max 2 were found to have a plastic shell and did not feature active noise canceling.
