A 19-year-old woman from Nuh, Haryana, India, tragically died by suicide after allegedly being gang-raped by five men. The assault reportedly took place around 1 AM on Tuesday while she was home alone, with her mother sleeping on the terrace. The victim had informed her father about the incident shortly after it occurred, stating that the suspects had recorded a video of the assault and were blackmailing her. After consuming poison on Tuesday evening, she was rushed to the hospital but died while being transferred to another facility. Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the suspects under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections for gang rape and abetment of suicide. The authorities have identified two of the suspects, who are currently evading arrest. A medical board has conducted an autopsy, with results expected soon to provide further details on the assault and injuries sustained by the victim.
