Shortly afterward, he allegedly struck a Mitsubishi Pajero, injuring a 65-year-old driver who was hospitalized with serious head injuries. The most severe incident occurred at approximately 2:38 PM, when the man allegedly attacked the elderly pedestrian on Whitebridge Road in North Isis, punching him and then striking him with a metal pole, resulting in the victim's death at the scene. The rampage continued as he assaulted a 66-year-old man in Childers before being restrained by bystanders and arrested by police. The suspect faces charges including murder, attempted murder, and dangerous operation of a vehicle, and is scheduled to appear in court via video link.
