C Joseph Vijay, the president of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is set to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The swearing-in ceremony will take place on Sunday at 10 AM at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. The TVK party emerged as the single largest party in the April 23 Assembly elections, securing 108 seats but falling short of the 117 seats needed for a majority. To form the government, TVK received support from several parties, including the Congress, CPI, CPI(M), and the Indian Union Muslim League, bringing their total to 120 seats. Governor Rajendra Arlekar approved the appointment of nine ministers from TVK, including notable figures such as party general secretary N Anand and Aadhav Arjuna. Political leaders, including outgoing Chief Minister M K Stalin and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, have extended their congratulations to the new government.
