Kuwait has launched a new online service enabling citizens to apply for domestic driver entry visas through the government’s 'Sahel' app. This initiative, introduced by the Ministry of Interior, is part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at simplifying government procedures and enhancing public services. The electronic service allows Kuwaiti citizens to issue visas for new domestic drivers without the need to visit service centers, thereby improving efficiency and reducing paperwork. As part of its ongoing reforms, Kuwait has also made changes to visa and residency procedures for expatriates, including the introduction of multiple-trip exit permits and simplified residency transfer processes. The 'Sahel' app has become a key platform for accessing various government services digitally, supporting the country's efforts to build an integrated digital system for public transactions.
