Bitwise, a prominent crypto asset management firm, has identified Hyperliquid's HYPE token as one of the most undervalued assets in the cryptocurrency market. In a recent blog post, Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan highlighted that investors are mispricing Hyperliquid, viewing it as a niche derivatives exchange rather than recognizing its potential as a comprehensive 'super-app' for global trading across various asset classes, including equities and commodities. Currently trading around $48.70, HYPE has seen an increase of over 8% in the past 24 hours. Hougan pointed out that Hyperliquid is generating an estimated $800 million to $1 billion in annualized revenue, trading at a valuation significantly lower than traditional financial exchanges like Robinhood and CME Group. The firm also noted that 99% of trading fees on Hyperliquid are used to buy back HYPE tokens, establishing a direct correlation between platform growth and token value. Furthermore, with a favorable regulatory environment under SEC Chair Paul Atkins, Hyperliquid is poised for growth, especially following its new partnerships with Coinbase and Circle, which could enhance demand for HYPE tokens.
