Aditya Gupta, a 17-year-old student from Delhi, has topped the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 with a perfect 100 percentile. In an interview, he expressed that being called a 'topper' is less important than being recognized as a 'performer', emphasizing that results should not define one's worth. Aditya shared that during his preparation for the CBSE Class 12 exams, he faced some challenges but received unwavering support from his parents, who motivated him without pressure. This was his second attempt at JEE; he scored 99.97 percentile in the first session. He credits his success to diligent preparation, a disciplined approach, and a strategic study plan, particularly highlighting the significance of NCERT books for Physics and Chemistry. Aditya also practiced extensively with sample papers and mock tests. With aspirations to study Computer Science at IIT Delhi, he balances his academic pursuits with a passion for classical music. This year, 26 students achieved a perfect score in JEE Main, with Mallavarapu Aasna from Telangana being the only candidate in this session to do so. The number of female candidates has also seen a significant rise, increasing from about 2.5 lakh in 2019 to approximately three to four lakh in the latest session.
