The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the IPL 2026 final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad instead of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru due to the Karnataka State Cricket Association's (KSCA) demand for an excessive number of complimentary tickets. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia explained that the KSCA requested more than 10,000 tickets beyond the 15% complimentary allocation mandated by IPL protocols. This decision follows an email from KSCA on May 2, which included requests for tickets for local MLAs, MLCs, and various member clubs. The final is scheduled for May 31, 2026, with Qualifier 1 at HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala on May 26 and the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 at the new PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh on May 27 and May 29, respectively.
