According to the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), mutual fund Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) inflows declined to ₹31,115 crore in April 2025, down 3% from the record inflow of ₹32,087 crore in March. Despite this monthly decrease, the inflows reflect an 18% increase year-on-year from ₹26,400 crore in April 2024. Equity mutual fund inflows also saw a 5% decline to ₹38,440 crore compared to ₹40,450 crore in March, but marked a 58% rise from ₹24,269 crore in April 2024. Among the various categories, flexi cap funds attracted the highest inflows at ₹10,147 crore, continuing a streak of nine months of increased investment since August 2024. Small cap funds received ₹6,885 crore, reflecting a 10% month-on-month increase, while mid cap funds garnered ₹6,551 crore, up 8% from March. Conversely, equity-linked savings schemes (ELSS) and dividend yield funds faced outflows of ₹567 crore and ₹20.58 crore, respectively. In the debt fund segment, inflows rebounded to ₹2.47 lakh crore in April, following a significant outflow of ₹2.94 lakh crore in March, with liquid funds leading the charge at ₹1.65 lakh crore.
