The Bareilly Police in Uttar Pradesh have filed a 22nd FIR against Vipra Sharma, who allegedly posed as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer to defraud unemployed individuals seeking government jobs. The recent complaint was lodged by Rinku Maurya from Faridapur Ramcharan village, who claimed he was duped into paying ₹1 lakh (approximately $1,200 USD) of a ₹3 lakh (roughly $3,600 USD) fee for a promised job. Investigations revealed that Sharma, along with her two sisters, was part of an organized scheme that targeted job seekers, presenting themselves as senior administrative officials. The scam first came to light following a complaint by Preeti Loyal from Faik Enclave. Authorities arrested Sharma and her sisters on April 28, and police have since frozen funds totaling ₹55 lakh (around $66,000 USD) linked to the fraudulent activities.
