Dan Radakovich, the athletic director at the University of Miami, is set to announce his retirement as early as next week, according to sources. Discussions are underway regarding his potential transition to an advisory role at the university. Radakovich joined Miami in 2021 after successful tenures at Clemson University (2012-2021) and Georgia Tech (2006-2012), making him the longest-serving athletic director in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) across these three positions. His leadership was pivotal in enhancing Miami's football program, which played for a national championship last season and is favored to win the ACC in 2026. He also hired men's basketball coach Jai Lucas, who led the team to the NCAA tournament in his first season. Radakovich, 67, was recently honored as one of four NACDA Athletics Directors of the Year. The university has not commented on the retirement news, but it is reportedly considering Michael Yormark, president and CEO of ROC Nation Sports International, as a potential successor.
