In Hisar, Haryana, the community is expressing outrage over the murder of a 36-year-old school teacher, whose body was discovered in her Sector-13 home on May 1. Nearly two weeks later, residents protested, demanding the immediate arrest of the victim's husband, who is accused of the crime and has reportedly been absconding since the incident. The victim's brother has alleged that her husband, along with other family members, played a role in her murder. Frustrated by the police's perceived inaction, protesters threatened to escalate their demonstrations to an indefinite sit-in outside the Hisar mini secretariat if the accused is not apprehended soon. In response, police have deployed approximately 25 officers and formed six teams, comprising around 30 personnel, to locate the suspect. They are actively reviewing CCTV footage and tracking leads across various cities, including Delhi, where the accused's last known location was reported. Superintendent of Police Siddhant Jain emphasized that all available resources, including technical intelligence, are being utilized to ensure the accused is caught swiftly.
