In a tragic incident in Lucknow's Nishatganj area, 35-year-old welder Ajaz ur Rahman, also known as Rahman Khan, was killed after being run over by a neighbor's car late Friday night. The accident occurred around 10:30 PM as Ajaz was walking home after dinner. His family claims that the driver, 65-year-old Anil Kumar Singh, was parking his car in a reckless manner when he struck Ajaz, causing severe injuries. Despite being rushed to Bhau Rao Deoras Hospital and later referred to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Ajaz succumbed to his injuries. Following the incident, police detained Singh and registered a case under relevant sections of the law. The situation escalated briefly as family members and locals threatened to protest, leading to police intervention to maintain order. Authorities ensured that the body was escorted to the graveyard for the last rites under police supervision, aiming to prevent further unrest in the community.
