The Punjab government has officially commenced the celebrations for the 650th Parkash Purb of Guru Ravidas, with a grand Kirtan Darbar held at Nehru Stadium in Rupnagar. This event marks the beginning of a year-long series of programs aimed at disseminating the teachings of Guru Ravidas. The evening featured soulful Kirtan performances by renowned Hazuri Ragi Bhai Ravinder Singh and Bhai Davinder Singh Sodhi, followed by an enlightening Katha Vichar by Bhai Gurmeet Singh, who encouraged attendees to embrace the Guru's teachings in their daily lives. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema attended as the chief guest and highlighted the government's commitment to spreading the universal message of Guru Ravidas. He announced the establishment of a 'Sri Guru Ravidas Bani Adhyayan Kendra' on 10 acres of land near Dera Sachkhand Ballan, which will facilitate the deep study of the Guru's teachings. The initiative also includes spiritual Kirtan Darbars across all districts in Punjab, aiming to inspire a harmonious and egalitarian society based on the Guru's principles.
