Vultr, the world’s largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company, has announced the launch of its 33rd global cloud data center region in Milan, Italy. This new facility coincides with AI Week 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho, where Vultr is a platinum sponsor and co-host of the AI Agent Olympics Hackathon. The Milan center is Vultr's ninth in Europe, joining existing locations such as Amsterdam and Frankfurt, and aims to support the region's growing demand for cloud infrastructure. The data center will provide Vultr’s full-stack AI infrastructure, including its flagship VX1 cloud compute offering and a range of NVIDIA and AMD GPU options. This expansion is part of Vultr's strategy to reach 90% of the global population with low-latency services. CEO J.J. Kardwell emphasized that Italy is a rapidly growing market for cloud services, and Vultr's investment reflects its commitment to supporting local enterprises and developers. Additionally, Vultr's connectivity at the Milan Internet Exchange will enhance local traffic management and bandwidth for users.
