Magadh University, located in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India, is hosting its first-ever alumni meet today, marking a significant milestone for the institution. The event will be inaugurated by Governor Syed Ata Hasnain and aims to utilize the expertise of alumni to enhance the university's research, innovation, and infrastructure. Vice-Chancellor Shashi Pratap Shahi emphasized that the meet will serve as a platform to restore the university's past stature. Preparations include cultural performances, experience-sharing sessions by former students, and an awards ceremony, coordinated by dedicated core teams. Notable attendees expected at the event include Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Jitan Ram Manjhi, Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar, and other prominent figures. The political science department recently organized a lecture titled 'Viksit Bharat @2047', discussing India's development and global role, further building up to the alumni meet.
