Following the announcement of Anna Maria College's closure at the end of the Spring 2026 semester, Worcester State University in Worcester, Massachusetts, has stepped in to support affected students. Worcester State will offer guaranteed transfer pathways and degree-completion options for Anna Maria undergraduates in good academic and social standing. Eligible students will benefit from waived application fees, access to residential housing, and dedicated support services to facilitate their transition. Additionally, student-athletes from Anna Maria who meet eligibility requirements will be integrated into Worcester State’s athletics programs. To assist students and families in navigating the transition, Worcester State will host a welcome and information event on April 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will provide details on degree completion options and allow students to meet staff from various departments, including Admissions and Athletics, while also offering campus tours and complimentary lunch. This partnership is a significant regional response to the closure, highlighting local institutions' commitment to supporting displaced students in Central Massachusetts.
