The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for 1,897,692 candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which saw a total of 2,243,761 registrations. The examination was conducted from April 16 to April 25 at accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers across Nigeria, including major cities like Lagos and Abuja. Candidates can check their results by sending 'UTMERESULT' via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number registered during the application process. While results are available for viewing, printed result slips are not yet ready. Education experts have praised JAMB for the improvements made in the examination process, noting the quicker release of results, which now occurs within 24 hours after the exam.
