Over the past few days, Vijay has visited the Governor's residence three times, but each request to form a government was denied due to insufficient numbers. Initially, the TVK had garnered support from the Congress, raising its tally to 112, but further negotiations with parties like the VCK and Left parties brought its count to 116. Despite this progress, the Governor did not officially recognize the coalition, leading to a canceled swearing-in ceremony. Recently, after receiving additional support, the TVK's numbers reached 120, surpassing the majority requirement. Vijay's fourth attempt to meet the Governor was thwarted as he was denied an appointment, raising questions about the Governor's discretionary powers. The TVK is now considering legal action to address this political impasse.
