A late-night fire at the Loni police station in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, resulted in significant damage to nearly two dozen confiscated vehicles. The incident occurred when a high-tension electricity cable broke and fell on the parked vehicles. Fire department officials received the alarm at around 9:52 PM and dispatched three fire tenders from nearby areas. By the time firefighters arrived, approximately 15-20 vehicles were already ablaze, including five old ambulances located at a community health center adjacent to the police station. The fire was brought under control within an hour, completely extinguished by 10:50 PM, and officials confirmed that the police station building itself remained unharmed. There were no reported injuries, and authorities stated that the vehicles involved were mostly confiscated or deemed unusable, with no indication of foul play.
