The incident began when Bell, who had been fired for bizarre behavior, returned to the club to retrieve her belongings and caused a disturbance. A security guard reported fearing for his life as she ran through the club, throwing items and using profanity. After being escorted outside, Bell returned with the pole, prompting police involvement. Officers later spotted her walking towards a Shell gas station, where she fled from them. Bell was apprehended shortly after and refused to comply with police commands, initially providing her sister's name. She was charged with seven offenses, including aggravated battery and resisting arrest, and was held without bond on outstanding warrants.
