She highlights that children aged four to six who engage in regular playdates develop critical social skills such as turn-taking, empathy, and problem-solving. These interactions serve as 'mini life-skills workshops,' helping children navigate social situations before they enter the classroom. A recent poll of 2,500 parents from the UK, USA, and Australia revealed that 81% of parents organize playdates at least once a month. The poll also indicated that 77% of parents believe outdoor play is vital for successful playdates, followed by crafts and imaginative games. While playdates foster children's confidence and social skills, parents face challenges like busy schedules and the discomfort of reaching out to other parents. Nevertheless, playdates also help parents build friendships, with 39% reporting new connections through these social gatherings.
