The Ministry of Corporate Affairs in India has launched the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS) 2026 to offer structured internship opportunities for youth aged 18 to 25. This initiative, introduced during the 2024-25 budget session, is designed to provide final-year graduate and postgraduate students, as well as recent graduates, with exposure to real-world business environments in various sectors. Internships will last for 6 to 9 months, with at least half of the time spent in actual job roles rather than classroom settings. Eligible candidates must be Indian nationals, aged between 18 and 25, and not employed full-time. They can come from diverse educational backgrounds, including high school graduates to postgraduates. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 (approximately $110 USD) throughout the internship period. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through the official PMIS website.
