On Monday, Punjab Police announced the arrest of four individuals linked to a narcotics and illegal arms module in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. The police recovered 9.925 kg of heroin, two foreign-made pistols, eight magazines, and 40 live cartridges during the operation. The arrested suspects include Manjinder Singh alias Sonu from Pathralian village, Shivam Bhandari from Dhina in Jalandhar, Sahil Masih alias Monu from Pakhoke Tahli village in Gurdaspur, and Ramel Roger from Garhshankar. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav stated that the suspects were acting as local facilitators for foreign-based gangsters involved in drug trafficking. Senior Superintendent of Police Sandeep Kumar Malik confirmed that the arrests followed a reliable tip-off, leading to a special checkpoint operation. Further investigations are underway to uncover the broader network, with more arrests anticipated as the case develops.
