Prateek Yadav, the younger son of Mulayam Singh Yadav (founder of the Samajwadi Party) and brother of Akhilesh Yadav, passed away at the age of 38 after suddenly falling ill. He was rushed to a civil hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Prateek was known as a fitness enthusiast and had chosen to stay away from active politics. His wife, Aparna Bisht Yadav, is currently involved in politics as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and serves as the vice chairman of the State Women Commission. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences, calling the loss 'extremely heartbreaking' and extended his sympathies to the grieving family.
