Ranveer Singh's latest film, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, is generating buzz for its unique OTT release strategy. Unlike most films that typically stream on a single platform post-theatrical release, this action thriller will be available on both Netflix and JioHotstar. Indian audiences will have exclusive access to the film on JioHotstar, while viewers from countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates can watch it on Netflix. Notably, Netflix will present a special version titled 'Raw & Undekha,' which includes extended and uncensored footage not seen in the theatrical cut. This dual-platform release decision has been made to optimize distribution and reach. Since Jio Studios is backing the film, the Indian streaming rights were retained by JioHotstar. However, recognizing JioHotstar's limited global availability, Netflix was included in the strategy to ensure broader access for international audiences.
