A 23-year-old woman from Manipur has filed a complaint against her employers, Amar and Anshu, alleging harassment and physical assault while working as a caretaker for their children at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) campus in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The alleged incidents occurred between June 2021 and May 2026. According to the woman's complaint, the couple failed to provide adequate food and physically assaulted her whenever she fell ill or spoke to others. The last reported incident took place on April 15, when Anshu allegedly pulled her hair and assaulted her. The woman also claimed that her employers monitored her phone and restricted her movements. After not being provided food on May 4, she sought help from neighbors and contacted her aunt, who is the president of the Kuki Students Organisation in Bengaluru. Following her complaint, a First Information Report (FIR) was registered at the Mico Layout Police Station on May 6 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The police are currently investigating the allegations.
