Meta is expanding its consumer product presence with the launch of Meta Labs pop-up locations in more than 50 Best Buy stores in the United States and Canada. Each Meta Lab, spanning roughly 900 square feet, is designed for hands-on exploration of Meta's AI glasses and VR headsets, featuring interactive demonstrations and support from dedicated Meta Sales Specialists. The focus on AI glasses aligns with Meta's strategy to enhance user experience through AI functionalities, with sales reportedly reaching 7 million units in 2025, a significant rise from 2 million in 2023 and 2024 combined. The Meta Lab experience will include various displays showcasing the expanding range of AI glasses, while Meta is also developing an AI-powered pendant for everyday assistance. Additionally, the company is working on AR-enabled glasses slated for launch next year. This initiative aims to engage consumers and generate excitement around Meta's evolving product lineup, highlighted by collaborations with influencers like pop star Doja Cat, who recently showcased her custom Meta AI glasses.
