Amazon MX Player has announced that ‘Made in India: A Titan Story’ will premiere on June 3. This six-part drama narrates the founding and ascent of the Indian watchmaker Titan, adapted from Vinay Kamath’s book ‘Titan: India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand’. The story is set in pre-liberalized India and centers on Xerxes Desai, the company's founding managing director, who builds a homegrown watch brand with guidance from J.R.D. Tata, the long-time chairman of the Tata Group. Naseeruddin Shah takes on the role of Tata, while Jim Sarbh portrays Desai. Alongside them, the cast includes Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Namita Dubey, Lakshvir Saran, and Kaveri Seth. Karan Vyas wrote the series, and Robbie Grewal directed it, with production by Almighty Motion Pictures. Sarbh expressed his excitement for portraying Desai, highlighting the series' themes of ambition and human resilience. Amazon MX Player’s head of content, Amogh Dusad, noted that the series reflects the entrepreneurial spirit that shaped a significant chapter in India’s history. The show will be accessible for free on multiple platforms, including mobile devices and connected TVs.
