Sonata Software's shares surged nearly 10% to ₹297.50 on Friday following the announcement of a 21% increase in net profit for the fourth quarter of FY26, reaching ₹130.5 crore compared to ₹107.53 crore in the same period last year. Despite this profit growth, the company's revenue from operations fell by 3% to ₹2,536.19 crore. The consolidated EBITDA also showed a positive trend, increasing by nearly 21% year-on-year to ₹208.7 crore. The firm reported a total net profit of ₹464.4 crore for FY26, marking a 9% increase, with overall revenue rising by 5% to ₹10,701.2 crore. Additionally, Sonata Software's board has recommended a final dividend of ₹4.15 per share, pending shareholder approval. The company is optimistic about its growth trajectory, particularly in AI and cloud services, with significant new client acquisitions in these sectors. Currently, Sonata Software has a market capitalization of approximately ₹8,150 crore.
