The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) successfully hosted the 9th edition of VIDA Knight Golf at Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, on Thursday. This annual charity event aims to empower women through skill development initiatives associated with the Calcutta Foundation. The evening brought together KKR players, partners, and supporters to engage in golf while supporting the #ShahoshiRani initiative, which focuses on enhancing women's financial independence and self-reliance.

KKR players, including assistant coach Shane Watson and players Cameron Green and Finn Allen, participated in the event, which featured a putting competition and a prize distribution ceremony. A poignant moment occurred when women beneficiaries from the Calcutta Foundation presented handmade photo frames to the players, symbolizing their entrepreneurial journeys.

Venky Mysore, CEO of KKR, expressed the organization's commitment to creating awareness and opportunities for women, emphasizing that empowering women positively impacts families and communities. Kausalya Nandakumar from Hero MotoCorp reiterated the importance of the partnership in driving social progress and unlocking opportunities for women. Funds raised from the event will support sustainable livelihood programs and promote girls' education.
