Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have signed Karnataka allrounder Macneil Noronha as a replacement for the injured Ramakrishna Ghosh for the IPL 2026 season. Noronha will join the team for a base price of INR 30 lakh. He recently earned the MA Chidambaram Trophy for being the highest run-scorer in the 2024-25 Col CK Nayudu Trophy, showcasing his talent in domestic cricket. Noronha was instrumental in the Mangaluru Dragons' success in the 2025 Maharaja Trophy, where he scored 253 runs and took ten wickets. Additionally, he has represented Karnataka in three T20 matches during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, accumulating 58 runs and securing one wicket. CSK has struggled with injuries throughout the season, losing key players like Ayush Mhatre, Nathan Ellis, and Khaleel Ahmed, and have been without former captain MS Dhoni due to a calf strain. Currently, CSK sits fifth on the points table with 12 points from 11 games and will face the Lucknow Super Giants in their next match.
