Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have acquired Macneil Hadley Noronha, a promising all-rounder from Karnataka, as a replacement for Ramakrishna Ghosh, who has been ruled out for the rest of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season due to a foot injury sustained during a match against the Mumbai Indians on May 3. Noronha joined CSK for a base price of ₹30 lakh (approximately $36,000 USD) and has been recognized for his impressive performances in domestic cricket. He recently won the MA Chidambaram Trophy for being the highest run-scorer in the 2024–25 Colonel C.K. Nayudu Trophy and has also played for the Karnataka squad in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. CSK, currently positioned fifth in the IPL points table with 12 points from 11 matches, is looking to enhance their squad depth as they aim for a playoff spot. Their next match is scheduled against Lucknow Super Giants on May 15 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
