Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc., a leading U.S. biotech firm, has announced plans to establish a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, India, with operations expected to commence in the second half of 2026. This investment aims to enhance Regeneron's global operations and is anticipated to create hundreds of jobs over the coming years. The company, which boasts 15 approved medicines and nearly 50 candidates in its pipeline, emphasized Hyderabad's reputation as a world-class hub for life sciences and technology talent. D. Sridhar Babu, the IT and Industries Minister of Telangana, highlighted Hyderabad's appeal as a destination for global companies due to its robust infrastructure and skilled workforce. The GCC will facilitate high-end digital services, including clinical trial operations and advanced data analytics. This initiative aligns with the Telangana government's focus on strengthening the state's life sciences sector through infrastructure projects like Genome Valley and Green Pharma City.
