Kuala Lumpur ranks first, with a 45% increase in searches, showcasing its appeal for families seeking convenience and variety. Following closely is Penang, known for its rich food culture and heritage, which saw a 41% increase in searches. Cameron Highlands, with its cooler climate, recorded a remarkable 96% rise, making it an attractive option for families looking for a refreshing retreat. Malacca, a long-time favorite for short trips, ranks fourth with a 61% increase, offering a mix of heritage and family-friendly attractions. Notably, Port Dickson experienced the highest growth at 130%, emphasizing the demand for accessible beachside vacations. Agoda’s Country Director for Malaysia and Brunei, Fabian Teja, noted that families are increasingly seeking flexible and value-oriented travel options within Malaysia, highlighting the importance of local getaways during the school holidays.
