The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam due to serious allegations of a paper leak. According to NTA Director General Abhishek Singh, a whistleblower reported that certain questions from the exam matched those shared in a WhatsApp message prior to the test date. Following an investigation, it was confirmed that some individuals had access to the exam questions before the exam was held on May 3. In light of these findings, the NTA has decided to conduct a re-exam to ensure fairness and integrity in the testing process. Singh stated that there will be no additional fees for the re-exam, and students will receive refunds for the fees paid for the canceled exam. The matter has been referred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for further investigation, with a commitment to hold accountable those responsible for the breach, thereby protecting the future of students who have worked hard to prepare for the exam.
