A deputy collector in Morena district, Madhya Pradesh, has been booked for allegedly sexually exploiting a woman over an extended period under the false promise of marriage. The woman reportedly met the officer through Facebook, leading to regular communication and a marriage proposal from him. She claims that on March 30, 2025, he took her to a rest house where he forced her into physical relations. The exploitation allegedly continued at various locations, including a government residence in Sabalgarh and a flat in Gwalior. The woman has accused the deputy collector of threatening her and her family if she pursued legal action. This incident has raised concerns due to the officer's history of disciplinary actions for inappropriate behavior with women, including a suspension in September 2025. The police have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita section 69, which pertains to sexual intercourse obtained through deceitful means, and further actions regarding his arrest are pending.
