On Saturday, the Odisha Higher Education Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Edunet Foundation to deliver structured training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies to women students in the state's colleges and universities. This initiative, supported by Edunet Foundation in collaboration with Microsoft, aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills in areas such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Python Programming, and Data Analytics. The program will consist of 240 hours of training, designed to enhance technical proficiency and increase employability. A special course titled 'Career Opportunities for Women in Artificial Intelligence' will be introduced, and students will engage in capstone projects that focus on real-world applications of modern technologies. Approximately 1,000 women students are anticipated to be trained each year, with successful candidates receiving certification from Edunet Foundation and Microsoft.
