Marriott International has officially launched its first Autograph Collection hotel in India, named NoorMahal, located in Karnal, Haryana, near Delhi. This 176-key property, owned by Col. Manbeer Choudhary and Mrs. Binny Choudhary, descendants of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, is situated on the historic Grand Trunk Road and features one of the region's most extensive art and artefact collections. The hotel aims to attract both travelers and the growing wedding market, offering over 30,000 sq ft of banquet and open space. This launch marks the introduction of Marriott's 19th brand in India and the 220th hotel in the country, reflecting the company's commitment to expanding its portfolio in the region. Kiran Andicot, senior vice president for South Asia at Marriott International, emphasized the brand's focus on cultural authenticity and distinctive experiences for travelers. The company anticipates that India will become its third-largest market within five years, driven by strong growth in the travel and hospitality sector.
