The Gautam Budh Nagar administration has initiated a program to train women from economically weaker families, particularly those associated with labor households, as community health entrepreneurs. This initiative aims to improve healthcare access for unorganised workers and underserved communities in Noida and Greater Noida. Under this program, women will be trained as 'Sadhika' to provide basic healthcare support and awareness services in their neighborhoods, creating livelihood opportunities for themselves. The initiative stems from a five-year partnership with the Samyak–Collective Good Foundation, which focuses on developing a community-based healthcare support system for labor families who often face barriers to regular medical care. District magistrate Medha Roopam emphasized the importance of improving healthcare service reach and promoting dignity for unorganised workers. The training will include the use of basic medical devices and primary healthcare practices, enabling these women to assist families and encourage early health intervention. This program is expected to foster community participation and strengthen institutional coordination for the welfare of vulnerable sections of society.
