In a tragic incident early Monday morning, five people lost their lives, including two children, following a crash between a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle and a sedan on the Mahabubnagar bypass road in Hyderabad, India. The motorcycle, ridden by 29-year-old Mohammad Avez, was reportedly traveling at 160 kmph, nearly three times the speed limit, and was allegedly participating in a street race. Avez and his pillion rider, Yakub Afzal, died instantly, while three passengers in the car, including 18-month-old Amer and 10-year-old Huzaifa, succumbed to injuries later at the hospital. The car's occupants were returning from a family function when the accident occurred. Authorities suspect that overspeeding was the primary cause of the crash, as the motorcycle's speedometer was found stuck at 160 kmph. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and forensic examinations are underway to determine if Avez was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
