The Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) party has officially declared its unconditional support for actor-politician Vijay in his bid to form the government in Tamil Nadu. VCK President Thol Thirumavalavan stated that this decision was made to avoid the imposition of President's Rule in the state. He emphasized that VCK does not wish to obstruct Vijay's efforts to govern. Thirumavalavan communicated this decision to DMK chief MK Stalin, who acknowledged and wished VCK well.
