VCK President Thol Thirumavalavan stated that this decision was made to avoid the imposition of President's Rule in the state. He emphasized that VCK does not wish to obstruct Vijay's efforts to govern. Thirumavalavan communicated this decision to DMK chief MK Stalin, who acknowledged and wished VCK well. The support comes after discussions with the Left parties, which also decided to back Vijay.
