GoPro has introduced its latest Mission 1 series of cameras, which includes the Mission 1, Mission 1 Pro, and Mission 1 Pro ILS. Each model is equipped with a new 50MP 1-inch sensor, designed to capture more light than previous models. Powered by the 5nm GP3 processor, these cameras support various video recording capabilities, including 8K at 60fps, 4K at 240fps, and 1080p at 960fps. The upgraded processor also features an AI Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for enhanced video processing and low-light performance. The new Enduro 2 battery offers over 5 hours of recording at 1080p30 and more than 3 hours at 4K30 on a single charge. The Mission 1 and Mission 1 Pro models are waterproof up to 20 meters and include a larger rear OLED display and redesigned buttons. The Mission 1 Pro ILS introduces an interchangeable lens system compatible with Micro Four Thirds lenses. Pre-orders for the Mission 1 series will begin on May 21, with global sales starting on May 28, 2023.
