This marks a significant milestone as it will be the first fully digital census in the country, utilizing mobile applications and the Census Management and Monitoring System (CMMS) portal. Residents can fill in their household details online, which will later be verified by enumerators during house-to-house visits. Following this phase, House Listing Operations (HLO) will take place from May 16 to June 14, where enumerators will gather information on housing conditions and basic amenities. The census aims to enhance transparency and data accuracy through digital transformation, with the Population Enumeration phase set for February 2027 and a reference date of March 1, 2027. Officials have emphasized that individual data will remain confidential, with only aggregated data being released. Approximately 9,000 enumerators and supervisors will be deployed across the state, alongside a national toll-free helpline to assist citizens with the census process.
