In a significant effort to cultivate a skilled workforce for India's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal launched several initiatives in Mumbai focused on skill development and AI-enabled training. The newly inaugurated L'Oreal Training Centre will provide professional training in beauty and wellness, while the Apna AI-enabled Placement Centre will utilize artificial intelligence to assist job seekers in identifying career paths and preparing for interviews. Goyal emphasized the role of youth in India's development, stating that their aspirations and skills are crucial for the country's growth. He announced plans for six more skill development centres and an Artificial Intelligence Innovation Hub to further equip young people with necessary skills. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of foreign language training, particularly in Japanese, to enhance international employability. Goyal expressed confidence in the potential of India's youth to drive progress and development in the coming decades.
