The final electoral roll for the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) elections has been published, revealing a total of approximately 88.95 lakh voters across 369 wards. This figure reflects a marginal increase of 2,833 voters compared to the draft list released on March 9, which had 88.92 lakh voters. The electorate consists of around 45.7 lakh men, 43.2 lakh women, and 1,635 others. The number of polling stations has decreased slightly from 8,044 to 8,023. The revision process began in early January and included multiple steps to ensure accuracy. Notably, Subramanyapura ward in the South City Corporation has the highest voter registration with 53,660 voters, while Vijayanagar ward in the West City Corporation has the lowest at 12,897. With the electoral rolls finalized, election authorities are preparing for polling logistics and scheduling. Citizens are encouraged to verify their voter details through the GBA website or designated help centers. Chief Election Officer Maheshwar Rao confirmed that discrepancies reported by residents will be addressed. Although elections are anticipated within the next 45 days, the GBA has requested a three-month delay due to the ongoing National Census and Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls by the Election Commission of India.
