The Las Vegas Raiders have strengthened their linebacking corps by signing Cameron McGrone, a veteran linebacker previously with the Cleveland Browns. McGrone, who has recorded four tackles on defense and nine on special teams in 27 games across his NFL career, is recovering from an Achilles injury that ended his last season prematurely. To accommodate McGrone, the Raiders waived Brenden Rice, the son of Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice. Rice was signed to the practice squad last year but did not appear in any games. He was a seventh-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, having played in three games without a reception. The Raiders have made significant moves in free agency, also signing linebackers Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker to enhance their defense.
