This initiative is designed to support students from the Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Low Income Group (LIG) categories who have achieved a minimum of 450 marks in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination or 75% in CBSE/ICSE. The program includes special coaching for competitive exams such as IIT-JEE, NEET, and EAPCET, along with free hostel accommodation, food, and books. A 33% reservation is allocated for female students. The chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Waqf Board, Shaik Abdul Aziz, emphasized that this program is a pioneering effort in the country to uplift poor Muslim students through quality education. The talent test will take place on May 17, 2026, and applications must be submitted online by May 12, 2026. The Board plans to increase the intake to 500 students starting from the academic year 2027-28.
