A tragic car accident occurred near Devprayag in Uttarakhand’s Tehri district, involving Dr. Dinesh Mali, a 27-year-old doctor from AIIMS Delhi, and his family. The accident took place on the Rishikesh–Devprayag segment of National Highway-7 when their Innova vehicle plunged into the Alaknanda River. Out of the eight occupants, four bodies have been recovered, while three individuals are still missing. Rescue teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are conducting extensive underwater searches and efforts to retrieve the submerged vehicle, which may hold vital information regarding the accident. Dr. Mali's father, who stayed behind due to health issues, survived the incident. His son, 12-year-old Ayushman, survived but is in critical condition and receiving treatment. The search for the missing family members and recovery of the vehicle remain top priorities for the authorities.
