Bangladesh security forces successfully thwarted a significant terror plot aimed at multiple high-profile targets, including the National Parliament, Army and Police establishments, and religious sites. The plot was uncovered following the arrest of two suspects, Istiyak Ahmed (alias Sami) and Abu Mohammad, both affiliated with a banned terrorist organization. During interrogation, investigators discovered that the suspects were in contact with two former Army personnel who allegedly conspired to execute the attacks. Authorities reported that the attackers planned to use explosives and locally-made bombs to strike at these key locations.
